Hyperflask Cell Dislodger

Overview

Hyperflasks are used by researchers to harvest stem cells. Emptying flasks is inefficient and time-consuming, with scientists typically working with dozens at a time. This project is designed to improve the cell dislodging process for researchers.

Results

The completed project allows for simultaneous cell dislodging in four flasks and features:

  • 3D-printed handles with bearings for rotation
  • Acrylic stand to hold the dislodger
  • Acrylic tab with spring-loaded energy
  • 3D-printed rails for sliding door
